First Time Homebuyers

To Whom It May Concern:
Our Story
My wife and I would just like to say that our experience working with Michelle Flaherty was great. It was a very stressful and confusing time for us as this was our first home purchase, we had to find a house quickly, and we lived about three hours out of state. We first connected with Michelle by a recommendation through our Wells Fargo Mortgage Specialist in Portland, Maine. Michelle contacted us and she immediately went to work getting house specification sheets for homes that were for sale in the area that were in our price range. In just a few days and with us giving her very little notice, she set up a Saturday viewing of over 12 homes ranging from Old Orchard Beach to Sanford. On that day we met in the morning and didn’t complete the rounds until later that evening. At the conclusion of that evening my wife and I decided upon one of the homes we visited and wanted to place a bid on it. Michelle then offered to go to her office and get comps of homes in the area, and then met us at our hotel at 9:00 pm to sign the bid documents which she faxed to the seller’s realtor that night. The next day we had our offer accepted.
Michelle’s Qualities
Below is a list of qualities that Michelle possesses:
-Great job in explaining the home buying process.
-Always available to answer lots of questions (especially important for new home buyers) and get answers quickly.
-Very flexible in scheduling.
-Willing to go above and beyond to help out her clients.
Overall, you can see we were very happy with Michelle as our realtor and know you would be too. If you have would like to discuss this further with us, we would be more than willing to talk with you.
Best wishes,

Tarad and Monica Nadeau

Dear Michelle,

It’s my pleasure to send you a few words regarding your service to us from both a personal and a real estate perspective.  Christina and I were very pleased after having worked with you, which ultimately led us to find the perfect home.

I think what stood out the most during the many days we met with you, going through house after house, was your continual positive attitude.  Even when we couldn’t quite seem to express exactly what we were looking for, you maintained a positive outlook and continued to work as hard as when we had first started.  You could easily have been frustrated, and tried to push us into making decisions.  Instead, your patient demeanor made the thought process and decision process much easier and less stressful.

Your professionalism, hard work, and never ending bright attitude made the home buying process much less of a burden, and for that we are thankful and appreciative.  Good luck in the future and thank you once again.

Sincerely,

Andrew and Christina Wnek

Dear Ms. Flaherty,

I am writing this memo to share my experience with you. I confess that when I first met you, I questioned how much experience you had based on how young you look. You pleasantly surprised me with your knowledge and equally important, you knew your limitations and when to ask for help. I am specifically referring to our legal addendums. After seeing a few places, I felt that you had a good understanding of what I was looking for and I never felt that you were pushing me into a price range that I couldn’t afford.

Buying a condo was a new experience for me. You explained every step of the way and I trusted your knowledge enough to ask for advice. I appreciate your patience and helping me understand the process. I never felt taken advantage of or patronized. In addition, you went above and beyond your duties as my real estate agent. For example, you let me into the condo before we closed so that I could take measurements and make arrangements for flooring.

When I first met you, you stated that you would be my advocate. You certainly demonstrated this. I plan to recommend you to any friends that may buy real estate in the future and if I stay in the area after residency you can expect a call to help me find a house on the water. I will gladly serve as a reference if you should ever need one from me.

Sincerely,

Dear Michelle,

I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying life.

It is hard to believe I have been in my new residence for 4 ½ months; I think I am really settled in now.

I wanted to thank you for your efforts as a professional Realtor in helping me obtain this multi-unit property.  As you are well aware I had a unique situation and was quite particular about what I was going to buy; at one point it seemed there was nothing out there that was going to satisfy my financial parameters and pickiness in the property’s condition.

I appreciate your understanding and patience during the 4 months you assisted me.  Besides the above and your knowledge of the process, I was impressed with your positive attitude that we were going to find something, and things would work out.  Not having purchased a building for some time, the uncertainty of interest rates… it was your positive attitude that helped keep me going.  That really made a huge difference.

So, here I am, doing quite well.  In fact I have had some infant thoughts about looking at buying another multi-unit.  Should I pursue this vision, I will certainly contact you to be my agent.  It was a pleasure working with you.

Sincerely,

Don Stieg

Dear Michelle,

We are coming up on our 1-year anniversary this month and I thought it would be a good time to tell you what a great job you did for us.  Whenever I asked you for information, you always gave it to me promptly.  But most importantly, you always were a good listener and really hear what we wanted and made house hunting such a stress free experience.  We are loving the house—you should stop by and say hi!

Sincerely,
